From time to time we have food-tasting sessions in the adjacent Tithe Barn. The next session will be at the Craft Fair on 26th November. Then there will be a Local Food Day in the Tithe Barn on Saturday 14th January 2012.
On Monday 6th February the Food Co-ops and Buying Groups presents its 2nd East Anglian Conference in the Tithe Barn, 10:00am to 4:00 pm.
There are other community events of interest which take place in the Tithe Barn, such as the annual Sproughton Beer Festival which usually takes place in May.
We also organise 'Thank you' tea parties from time to time, for shop volunteers - (see photo at the end of this page).
Here's a photo of the chairman of Sproughton Parish Council making a speech on the occasion of the Community Shop's official opening on 27th March 2010. The BBC Radio Suffolk radio car is in attendance. Afterwards, we had local food-tasting in the adjacent Barley Room.
